Decentralized Storage: A Promising Solution for Sensitive Data in Governments, Hospitals, and Universities

Explore the potential of decentralized storage in our latest article, highlighting how this emerging technology can significantly enhance data security in key sectors. Governments stand to gain a more secure way of handling citizen information, while hospitals can better protect patient records and comply with health regulations like HIPAA. For universities, decentralized storage offers a reliable method for managing academic and personal data safeguarding research and student privacy. Delve into how this technology, with its unique approach of distributing data across multiple nodes, provides a robust defense against cyber threats and a more efficient data management system for these vital institutions. Learn more in our latest blog article: Protecting Sensitive Data: Why Governments, Hospitals, and Universities Need Decentralized Storage.

Mainnet Update:

We are continuing our efforts to iron out the remaining bugs, notably some backend issues on the blobber repository. We are addressing these issues now as it is more straightforward and effective to resolve them before the mainnet launch rather than post-mainnet. In parallel, our web applications have undergone multiple tests and enhancements and are now finally prepared for production.

Blockchain Updates:

Last week, we focused on user interface improvements for apps like Chimney, Atlus, Blimp, Chalk, and Bolt. We merged about 40 PRs in web apps and 25 in backend repositories, enhancing overall performance.

We resolved critical backend bugs, including the free storage tokens issue, uint64 overflow, and blobber revenue calculations. Continuous load testing demonstrated system stability under pressure.

We also set up a live test environment on the testnet for DEX and NFT, facilitating real-world testing on Ethereum and Polygon Mainnet. All contracts are performing well. Our DevOps team’s efforts in stabilizing CI tools have accelerated testing and deployment efficiency.

This progress marks a significant improvement in the user experience of our blockchain applications.
